To create a sense of real presence I created video content for the new brand websites of Mount Pleasant and McWilliam’s wines. The two videos below are the ‘hero’ brand videos.
I created what I call a ‘vision’ script and a series of questions. This gave direction for brand story. I then interviewed each vineyard’s crew and wove their story together in the final edit.
For Mount Pleasant, their brand theme was homage to its founder Maurice O’Shea, the pursuit of award-winning wine excellence and the Hunter Valley location.
As for McWilliam’s Wines, wine making has been in the family for six generations, so I used this to anchor the brand story, extending it to all those who worked at the winery who just like one big family.
The websites and content won Australia’s Best Wine Website/App at the prestigious Wine Communicator Awards for 2013. This is what the judges had to say:
“Your website was the outstanding example of best practice in digital communications.”
“Dynamic content, lots of details, great feel and original representation and modernisation of the whole McWilliam’s brand.”
