Just about everyone who watches a cricket game or a highlight says “Geez, even I could’ve caught that or stopped that!”

So to help promote The 2015 World Cup Cricket coverage provide by Fairfax newspapers, we gave fans a chance to see if their mouth is as good as their fielding action by seeing how good they can fare against the world’s best cricket players.

Our idea was to create a social activation game and we called it WORLD'S BEST FIELDER.

We gave CWC fans to get on the virtual pitch of
 CWC matches and stop their opposition teams from scoring runs to win the cap of The CWC Best Fielder and $5,000 cash.

The aim of the game was to stop as many runs as possible in the real games using an online batting wagon wheel of hits to change the outcome of the real game.

We promoted the game via edms to the Fairfax subscriber base, social media posts and print media.
